Newborn Photo Session | Cowichan Valley & Victoria Newborn Photographer

I loved photographing this sweet little bundle on Thanksgiving weekend 2022. She was quite content the entire time surrounded by so much love and admiration. Her grandparents and even great grandma, and her Uncle were around to get some photos too. I love when we can capture extended family, those memories are so important to have. You can see just how proud everyone is too!

My style of photography has always been more natural and I don’t mean that just by the natural light I use, I mean it by the skin tone of a new babe and their features. I love the little wrinkles, the slight skin discolouration and the flakey skin, this is ALL natural of your sweet little one and I never want to take those memories away from you. I want you to see the true beauty of the sweet little human you created, not a photoshopped version with the smoothest skin, NO flaky skin… changing this to me, that just takes away from the sweet memories you want to remember. As well, we all know their little features change so fast, in the blink of an eye really, and I want these photos to give you a gift of moments frozen in time to look back on and remember those first few weeks of their life… all their tiny beautiful features just as they were. This is why I make sure to capture my newborn photo sessions as natural as can be.
